Let me guess..... You've found an orphaned or
injured animal and don't know what to do. You need to
know what to feed it, how to care for it and who to give it to.
Don't worry, I can help! One of my many passions is
helping animals in need as an
Oklahoma State and Federally licensed wildlife
rehabilitator.
I care for wildlife all year round.
I've even put together a page for
frequently asked wildlife
questions.
I can help when it comes to
providing care for squirrels, opossums, skunks, raccoons,
rabbits (bunnies), deer, bobcat, baby birds (song birds),
owls, hawks and any other wild mammal
that needs a helping hand. My federal wildlife
rehabilitation permit allows me to legally
provide care for all species of
birds, including hawks, owls, and song birds.
Your best bet for getting to the bottom of whatever
wildlife quandry you find yourself in, is to call me at
580-446-5679. I'll ask a bunch of questions like:
"Does it have fur?", "Are its eyes open?", "Is there an
injury?", "Is there blood?", "Is it dragging a wing or
limb?". Together we'll assess the situation and decide
what is in the best interest of the animal. Sometimes,
it is as simple as building a
new
replacement nest for birds so the parent can continue to
raise the babies, sometimes you've just witnessed a normal,
natural part of wildlife development and the baby needs to
be returned. I can help you decide whether or not to
return the baby and if so, just how to go about it.
Did you realize it is a myth that if you touch wildlife the
parents won't accept it?
If I'm not in your area, call me anyway. I
regularly give out
referrals to other rehabbers
and I'm happy to help in any way I can.
