This page is devoted to the babies I raised and
released in 2004. Just as the time came for each to be released, the time
has come for them to have a page of their own!
I am very grateful to have been a part of these wonderful creatures
lives, yet for each animal there came a time when my job was done and it was
time to let them go to live the lives they deserved. Each release is a
combination of joy in all that we've accomplished together, and sorrow for the
letting go and moving on. Each time I make a release, I lose a piece of my heart
as I set them free. These pictures are a memorial to my special relationship
with these sweet, yet sometimes challenging animals.

Fledgling Great Horned Owl with very little down
remaining
This adult Screech Owl was brought in by a cat. Our heavy winds must have
blown it into something and it needs a few days to recuperate.
Lots of bunnies now!
Two young sibling raccoons
My youngest and tiniest squirrel yet. He weighs only 16 grams which is
equivalent to 2 quarters and 1 nickel.
Strange bed fellows, an opossum and a squirrel!
Wild ducklings that were released at my pond.
This fur hat donated by the Humane Society makes a
fabulous opossum pouch
This opossum was the sole pouch survivor of a
hit-by-car mama.
Three more opossums, each with their own story.
